Sept. 2 14:15 I arrived to Manilla airport. My story of studying abroad started. At first the reason why I chose MMBS is to want to go to developing countries and that here costs lower than other countries like U.S. and Canada. In fact in Korea, PHILS is a very famous place that go abroad. I think here will also become major place in the future in Japan. Such I insist so, PHILS life was very valuable and good experience.  About study I took a test to know my level at first. And since next day, I had classes ; speaking, grammar, vocabulary and group study. Students can study man to man with each part of teachers.One class have one hour. During class, we talked not only about study but about our daily things. So classes is very interesting, so I was motivated for classes every day. I could get friendly with my teachers and since I went back to Japan we oftn have exchanged e-mails each other. BTW if you become more friendly with your teacher, you can visit your teacher's house. Actually I visited my teacher's house and her family treated me to many food ; spaghetti ,rice cake and PHILS traditional food.And then they guided me to public school and I could take many nice pictures of PHILS children and local sight and so on. And then, there is very excellent system in MMBS. It's that students can choose their favorite teachers, so we can study more comfortably and efficiently. In my case, I changed only one teacher becase I was favored with good teachers. I recommend you make suitable classes for you by your opinion.  About playing There are many facilities. We can swim in the pool and play badminton ,billiards,tabletennis and basketball. So we can always exercise. On the weekend, almost of students drink beer at public bar near the school. And I was one of the person who drank many bottles of beer.Japanise manager was too.She have had lots of heroic episodes so she is very fun. And then I could communicate with my room mate and other students. I tried my English and learned daily English about shopping , neighbor, downtown, etc... However there are a lot of Korean student in this school ,and I also learned international problems between Krea and Japan. I couldn't otfen agree with their opinion and they sometime said terrible things. At that time, it's better to say; Why do you ask me such a things?? I'm not interested in such a things.Let's get along well !! Japanise manager tought me this word. She is so cool. If you are in trouble in MMBS you should go to her for advise. Whatever happens, she certainly solves. So I could always feel easy.Thank you for defending me every day !!  About food There is a dinning room in MMBS but I ate Korean meals every day because there are many Korean students. Actually I don't like spicy foods but I got use to Korean foods. At last I like Korean foods. The time I wanted to eat other food I went to a restaurant near the school and a supermarket by tricycle. Tricycle was a very exciting and convenient vehicle. The time I wanted to eat fruits I went to Public Market. There were many fruits that I have never seen and I could buy it at low price. Mango and papya and so on are very dericious. Especially banana taste like custard cream. I surprised for banana best. Please try it by all means.  About sightseeing On the holiday, students often travel to some distance place. I visited to Pagsanjan and Hundred Islands with some people in MMBS. In Pagsanjan there is very big waterfall, In Hundred Island there are lots of very beautiful sea and sky. When I get there, I very impressed. I can't forget that view. And then I could also learn English there. It's interesting to talk with ordinary peaple in PHILS and my English skills improved. And then if you want to drink with girls you shoud visit to Angeles. But I can't tell you detail. BTW, The reason we can travel wherever in PHILS is that here price is pretty lower than Japan. Then , I knew they are needy and I gradually realized money is so valuable. So traveling tought me many important things. PHILS life gave me lots of valuable experiments. I never forgot. And then I'll continue to study English. Now I have confidence that talk with foreigner. And there are many chances communicate in English. The next time I come back to PHILS I'll be able to speak English. And I want to meet my friends and talk about each other. I won't say goodbye so I say See you again.  |
